SKINNY DIP SIGNS PHOTOGRAPHER DEAN CHALKLEY
We
are incredibly excited to be representing Dean Chalkley for
Photographic and Film projects and commissions. Dean creates iconic
images across portraiture, music and fashion and has a unique
appreciation and interpretation of youth culture, a subject that has
always inspired and influenced Skinny Dip's aesthetic.
Dean Chalkley is an international Photographer and Film Maker based in London. He grew up in the Thames estuary town of Southend-on-Sea in Essex. The town's idiosyncratic and often obscure nature has been an important influence, cultivating a love for youth subculture, music and an appreciation of individuals who walk through life expressing themselves in unusual ways. Check out skinnydip.co.uk and deanchalkley.com for more of Dean's Photography and Moving Image. Here's just a few of Dean's stunning images starting with this week's ShortList cover story featuring Sir Paul McCartney, Film Poster and stills from Dean's Short Films 'Young Souls' and 'New Faces', Fashion images for Hush Puppies and Ray-Ban, as well as award winning portraits of Noel Gallagher and iconic images of Paul Weller, Miles Kane, Amy Winehouse and Florence + The Machine.

TIRED OF LONDON, TIRED OF LIFE - JOCELYN BAIN HOGG
"Why, Sir, you find no man, at all intellectual, who is willing to leave London. No, Sir, when a man is tired of London, he is tired of life; for there is in London all that life can afford."
Samuel Johnson, 20 September 1777
Tired of London, Tired of Life id the product of a collaboration between three artists: Jocelyn Bain Hogg, Paul Davis and Henrietta Molinaro. The book is a celebration of the highs and lows in the City of London, but in order for it to be published it needs your sponsorship! Click HERE to visit the website and to see a preview of the book.
"Time is running out with less than a fortnight to go to raise the funds for this great book to be born! It would be a travesty for it not to see the light! How about a corporate sponsorship? Or a workshop with either Paul or Jocelyn? Or a bloody good night out? Or just pre-order the book..."

ROB LOWE AKA SUPERMUNDANE AT KEMISTRY GALLERY
Supermundane recently showed his work at Kemistry Gallery which was also featured on the Creative Review website.
The show, entitled Details, is an exploration into the sense of depth often present within Rob's drawings. The work on show is a magnification of existing images which reduces them to simplified lines, shapes and colours.
"These new works have developed from studying my own drawings in a subjective way," Lowe explains. "I was interested in what it is about them that gives the optical effect of depth. I realised that nothing in my drawings exists in isolation and it is the way the lines (or rather the things they are outlining) interconnect that gives the feeling of depth."
