Dean Chalkley judges NME Music Photography awards

Over the feted summer festival period, for the last three years music magazine NME and camera brand Nikon have invited amateur and professional photographers to get snapping, and submit their music-related imagery for the NME Music Photography Awards. This year’s competition saw more than 7000 images submitted. Dean Chalkley - who received the NME Outstanding Contribution to Music Photography Award 2012 - was on the judging panel along with NME editor Mike Williams and acting NME photo director Zoe Capstick.

Dean was asked to say a few words at the Private View last night and gave a funny and inspiring speech.
